CEREC porcelain is characteristically comparable to natural enamel in regards to its strength and appearance. The fit and shape of these restorations is remarkably accurate because the dimensions of the teeth and gums are captured, recorded, and reproduced via a chairside computer scanner. Scanning, rather than using traditional impression materials eliminates the potential for defects and distortions, while also eliminating the need for the dentist to communicate your needs to an outside dental lab.

Environmentally Responsible Technique

Same-day crowns aren’t just about convenience they are also friendlier to the environment. By fabricating and permanently cementing your crown in one office visit, we can significantly reduce the waste that would be created from multiple car trips, shipping materials to outside labs, and disposable impression materials and stone models.

Biologically Appropriate Dentistry

In accordance with our holistic principles, CEREC restorations are particularly conservative, requiring the removal of a minimum amount of tooth structure. The porcelain that is used to create these beautiful crowns, inlays, and onlays is metal-free with characteristics that are strikingly similar to your own enamel: It is as strong as real enamel, harmonizing perfectly with the rest of the oral cavity as well as the rest of the body. These restorations are permanently bonded to the teeth, sealing out the saliva and bacteria that could cause recurrent decay. The result is a healthy, clean restoration that provides you with a beautiful alternative to conventional mercury fillings.
